Tejas is not only famous because of his father, grandfather, and brother. In 2015, he discovered a snake species in Maharashtra and named it Thackeray’s cat snake.

Similarly, in May 2019, Tejas and his team founded a new species of lizard in Tamil Nadu and named Thackeray’s dwarf gecko.

Tejas celebrates his birthday with great fanfare on October 8, he was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra in 1995. He lived in Mumbai, Maharashtra since his childhood. As of 2020, Tejas Thackeray’s age is 25 years old, he belongs to the Hindu religion and his mother tongue is Marathi.

The Researcher is from the family of political background, in their family Tejas’ late grandfather Bal Keshav Thackeray become a Politician, who died in 2012 due to natural death and he formed the Shiv Sena party. He also discovered a new species of lizard is named Thackeray’s Dwarf Gekko, in May 2019 Tejas and his co-researchers went to Yercaud’s the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu, and the new crab species named as Sahyadriana Thackeray, which was founded in the Western Ghats of Sahara, India.

Tejas Thackeray in September 2014, Tejas collected Holotype which is published worldwide today, it was found by the Journal of New Zealand, which was named ‘Zootaxa’.
