Muammar Gaddafi was a political thinker, politician, and revolutionary from Libya. Since his family maintained a low profile after his passing, many people are interested in learning more about Muammar’s family.

Muammar was from Libya from 1969 till his death, and he was captured and killed on October 2011 after the Battle of Sirte. 

He was a resourceful and intelligent man and the longest leader in Africa and Arba World.

Muammar’s first daughter from his first marriage, General Khalid, was born at the same age they married. Then, after a year, they had a son named Muhammad Gaddafi, born in 1970. The couple was not on good terms, so they divorced after his son’s birth. 

Then, he met his second wife, Safia Farkash, who was a former nurse when they two met. They got married till his death; they were always on a good-terms. The couple had seven biological children together and two adopted daughters. 

Their first child Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was born in 1972 and is now a Libyan political figure. He is also part of his Father’s circle, handling public relations and diplomatic roles on his behalf.

Al-Saadi Gaddafi, the second child of Muammar and Safia, who was born in 1973, has recently been released from Turkey because he was arrested in Niger and extradited to Libya, where he faced murder charges in 2014. He has not been involved in any work currently. 

Mutassim Gaddafi was the third child born in 1974 and died in 2011, and he was attacked and murdered along with his Father.

Hannibal Muammar Gaddafi, the fourth of Muammar his second wife, is in the Syrian capital Damascus with his wife and children.

Ayesha Gaddafi, the fifth child of the, is now a Libyan former mediator and military official, and she is a lawyer by profession. 

 Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, the sixth child, was born in 1982 and died in 2011 along with his Father, he always kept a low profile, and he did not share much information with the public.

 Khamis Gaddafi was their seventh child, who also died with his Father during the war. 

Muammar also adopted two children, Hana Gaddafi and Milad Gaddafi, but their information is not disclosed. They are trying to keep their data away from the eyes of the media.

Only four biological children of Muammar from his second wife are alive now, and they all are involved in their Father’s circle.

His first son Muhammad Gaddafi moved to Algeria along with several other members of the Gaddafi family. 

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi attempted to run for president of Libya in 2021 but was turned down. He is, therefore, not working on any projects right now.

Al-Saadi Gaddafi is also not involved in any project and has just been released from Turkey in 2021.

Hannibal Muammar Gaddafi was living with his family, but more information about Hannibal has not been mentioned clearly. 

Ayesha Gaddafi is a lawyer by profession, and she is the one handling Libyan, being a former mediator and military official. 

The information about his second adopted daughter has not been disclosed; Hanna is the first adopted child who was purportedly killed during the U.S. bombing raids in 1986.
