Cardi B's Baby Is Here And That's Just One Of Her Triumphs This Week

Rapper and icon Cardi B has just given birth to her baby, after a much-publicized pregnancy. In classic Cardi fashion, she announced it on Instagram with an astonishingly gorgeous photo of her pregnant belly. 

Cardi has a flare for drama and glam, and this is exactly the kind of event that deserves both. She also announced the baby girl's name: Kulture Kiari Cephus. A name for a tiny queen!

Cardi B is married to Kiari Kendrell Cephus, better known as Offset, and their romance has been keeping everyone on their toes. 

They had an extremely public engagement, when Offset proposed to her onstage with an enormous freaking rock.

Then in a twist, it turned out that they had actually gotten married in 2017, at least a month before that proposal. Cardi B, who is nothing if not frank about her experiences, told TMZ they had a good reason for keeping it secret. They actually do like some privacy.

"There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself!" she said. "Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new, breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn't want to lose each other."

She continued: "I said I do, with no dress no make up and no ring! I appreciate and love my husband so much for still wanting for me to have that special moment that every girl dreams of when he got down on his knee and put a ring on my finger and he did that for me!!"

They've clearly worked it out, because Offset and Cardi B are very much on the same page now. He announced the arrival of baby Kulture with yet another incredible pregnancy pic:

But this isn't even everything Cardi B has done this month.

In early July, she broke yet another record and became the first woman rapper to ever get two Hot 100 Billboard hits. First, she got one for "Bodak Yellow," now she's climbed the charts again with "I Like It," which is an absolute banger.

And though having a baby is clearly the big accomplishment of the week, we can still have fun with some other Cardi B news.
